Why Child Privacy Belongs in the Product
Privacy is not a paragraph added after the campaign is designed. It changes how the campaign should work.

Community fundraisers often involve children, families, photos, stories, and a large group of adults trying to do the right thing quickly. That combination deserves more than a buried policy link.
The safer question is not only ‘what does the policy say?’ It is ‘what can the software make difficult to get wrong?’ Public names should be intentional. Guardian consent should be explicit. Organisation approval should be part of the publishing flow. A direct link should not quietly bypass the same visibility checks as the page itself.
These choices can make a product slower to build, but they make the experience easier to trust. Rally is treating privacy as part of the campaign workflow because the people responsible for a community should not have to become security specialists to use fundraising software responsibly.
The platform is still coming soon, and this is one of the areas we are continuing to test carefully with the organisations who will use it.
